What Affects Which System You Need
A few things determine what’s realistic for your property:
- Soil conditions. Much of North Georgia has clay-heavy soil, which drains slower than sandy soil. That alone can rule out a standard system on some lots.

Keep in mind: Like other trench-based systems, tree roots and heavy vehicle traffic over the trenches can cause problems over time.
